I’ve been racking my brain for the better part of 2 years on how to build a community around writing. The first thought was go to a coffee shop and make a space where I can hang out with other writers and write. This is difficult because it requires people to not only make time to hang out but also leave the comfort of their homes. The next obvious idea was streaming, but how to stream a writing channel? How could I make that work? I think I found a solution that is very unique and just might be the best thing for a budding author’s career!!!
The answer to building a community online is streaming. Basically, I’m going to choose a time in the evenings to write and anyone can join, hang out, and write with me. I’ll have chill music that you can write to and we can talk about writing or life or whatever. It will be a just chatting section so I believe I can build a community that way. Do you have any thoughts on this idea? Maybe on how I can effectively build this concept to greatness? Perhaps I could do both. Stream online twice a week AND go to a coffee shop once a week! Let me know!
